"Aluinn Finnola"

Bay Roan, 14.3h mare born 2002,   by Tre Awain Goldsmith, a successful VA eventing stallion,  out of Aluinn Full Moon , by Moxely Duncan.  Finnola is a family pet, she is very pleasant to ride but has only been asked to go on trail rides and give beginner riding lessons which she does very well.   An independent minded pony, she enjoys people more than other equines.  She really wants to be your best friend and is happy to attempt most anything new.  Last summer she went to her first Horse Show, The Reg 3 Connemara Pony Show and won her class for green ponies under saddle.

"Aladdin's Star Song"

Dark Bay,15h mare born 1996,  from  Aladdin’s very last foal crop  and out of an imported English Driving mare,* Burnwood Pascha by Bearwood Flap Jack.  “ Wynona”was bred at our farm but born in Ohio , she returned home last year and instantly produced a very lovely  and character filled bay colt who was christened Aluinn Wyatt.  Wynona is an elegant, athletic taller mare but has the bone and substance to capture the Connemara ‘look’.  She evented as a younger horse and has been used in lessons as she is easy to ride, willing but sensible.  She enjoys jumping and is unflappable in most every situation.  Wynona is a wonderful broodmare having produced 3 really top quality foals that are built like she is, they all move wonderfully and have inherited her long stride, athletic conformation and matchless hard feet.   Shoes never needed in this family.

"Aladdin’s Laurel Ink"

Black , 14h  mare born 2000.   Aladdin’s very last daughter and out of the beautiful dun mare, Tre Awain Golden Lily  who was the very last daughter of Tre Awain Roderick O’Connor making Ink the source for this country’s most successful  performance bloodlines.   Don’t tell her about it though; she is more interested in being a Gourmet than she is in being a competitor.  One of less than 10 premium mares in the USA (over half of which come from Aladdin’s family) Ink has had a shining career in-hand, winning her class at The Upperville Horse Show just last year.  Very calm and well behaved in-hand and under saddle, Ink always tries to conserve energy.   She walks out calmly on a trail ride and when younger she enjoyed her jump schooling.   She is a good mover when motivated but Dressage is not something she enjoys. In 2004 the Breed was tested for  heart capacity and  Ink received one of the highest heart scores out of the 200 ponies tested, showing that she could be another Secretatiat( if she was running towards food ! )  Ink has so far produced one Futurity winning daughter , now she  needs the opportunity to produce more Connemaras just like herself , beautiful with a great intelligence  an independent character and  yes, four great feet!

"* Patty’s Meredith" 

Bay Roan 13.3h mare born 1999 in Germany and imported in 2000 as a yearling, bred by Patricia Schmidt of Patty’s Connemaras,” Peppy’s” sire was Patty’s Silverdun Velvet and her dam was Kierkelegaards’ Margeaux, by the currently popular Danish sire, Hazy Dawn.  Peppy is always happy with wild locks of curly mane.   I bought her because I had a hunch that her bloodlines would nick with Aladdin’s and time has proved me right.   Peppy already has two stallion sons and I feel that she could contribute much to the breed in the USA.   She is a very kind pony but alert to lifes possibilities so perhaps not the right pony for little kids even though she is fun to ride if you know how and enjoy a forward pony.    A sensational mover with a face and physique that all Connemaras should aspire to,  Peppy is a fantastic mother and a total delight to have around the farm.

"Roulette" 

 Home needed for a 3 yr old PMU registered Quarter Horse Filly.   Roulette is a bay Roan 3 yr old that is kind and gentle but still a bit hesitant about life..   Roulette is well put together , about 15.1h and still growing   She needs a sensitive and loving owner who will bring her along  carefully and gently,  in return Roulette will put her golden heart completely in your hands.   She has good ground manners and is ready to start a career which should probably include some jumping as she is built to excel in that sport.

Notes from Aladdin Connemaras / Aluinn Ponies

These Ponies/Horses are an important part of my life and I am passing them along as I am getting a little too old to care for my whole group properly.   All Mares are all sound without any blemishes or health related issues. None have had any trouble foaling or getting in foal.     I would like the ponies to have the chance be able to make a genetic or performance contribution to the breed but above all,  I am looking for equine knowledgeable  homes where they will be appreciated for their individual strengths and forgiven their individual weaknesses.    I want these ladies to live happily ever after..........Thanks  for  considering these ponies.
